Meet McWane: Anna Burchett, Tyler Pipe & Coupling

Anna Burchett 8 YearsThe Tyler Pipe & Coupling Team in Marshfield, Missouri, bid a fond farewell to Anna Burchett who retired on January 30, 2015. Anna started out in the Coupling Department in 2007 when she joined the company, but was soon promoted from Production Machine Operator B to Pre-Assembly Operator.

Anna was honored with a retirement reception complete with cake and punch. She was also given a strand pearl necklace and earring ensemble and bouquet of flowers to thank her for her years of dedicated service.

Congratulations, Anna! Enjoy your retirement!

Meet McWane: Danny Clymer, Manchester Tank & Equipment

Danny Clymer is retiring from Manchester Tank & Equipment (MTE) after 15 years of service. Danny has served the company in a number of roles including leadership of human resources, operations, engineering, and purchasing / supply chain. He has also been active in managing MTE’s Australian operations for much of the last 10 years.

Manchester Tank held an event in his honor last Thursday night, which was attended by McWane President Ruffner Page and many of Danny’s current and past colleagues from the MTE Franklin office and U.S. plants. Danny had the entire group laughing for close to an hour as he “bequeathed” many of the items from his office that he felt should stay with Manchester team members going forward.

We will miss you, Danny, and wish you all the best in your retirement!

Meet McWane: Mike Connor, Clow Valve

The Clow Valve team came together to bid a fond farewell to Mike Connor who retired after 40 years of dedicated service. Mike worked as a member of the outside sales team and was located in California.

Mike joined the Clow Valve team 40 years ago after answering an ad to be a forklift driver and worked his way into sales where he spent most of his career. He was a leading salesman, great co-worker, and friend to anyone that knew him in his time with Clow.

Mike plans to travel with his wife, Gale, in the upcoming months of retirement. Clow is thankful for his years of service and friendship, and we wish him a wonderful retirement.

We are going to miss you Mike!

Meet McWane: Craig Whiting, Pacific States

Craig Whiting 45 YearsThe team members at Pacific States recently bid Craig Whiting a fond farewell after 45 years of service. Craig’s first years at Pac States were in the valve and hydrant shop, but he also helped in casting when needed. In 1982, he moved to the storeroom where he spent the last 32 years driving a forklift.

Craig said, “I have gone through 6 forklifts while working the Storeroom.”

Craig has been married for 21 years and has a blended family with 8 children. He also has 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Craig enjoys spending times with his grandchild, especially if they go fishing. Craig plans to travel, fish whenever he can,k’la and search for rocks and ghost towns.

We wish you a long and happy retirement Craig and watch out for those ghost towns!

Meet McWane: Don Bird and Donnie Blizzard, Clow Valve

Recently, Clow Valve bid a fond farewell to two team members with a combined service of 85 years!

Donnie Blizzard retired on May 9th after 43 years of service. Donnie was a dedicated and loyal employee who worked clean-up in the machine shop for many years on 2nd shift. Donnie was joined at his retirement party by his children and grandchildren, along with fellow team members and retirees.

Don Bird retired on May 30th after 42 years of service. Don was a Production Scheduler at the Machine Shop and always gave 100%. Don was also joined at his retirement party by his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his fellow team members and retirees.

We wish them both a very happy and enjoyable retirement!
