Clow Corona Focuses on Improving the Environment in April

Clow Corona team members in Corona, California turned their focus to the environment in April on Earth Day and Arbor Day.  Team members and their families volunteered for a clean-up at Citrus State Park on Earth Day to remove brush, dropped fruit and trash around the citrus trees in the state park.  At the end of the day the Clow team had cleaned up 35 bags of debris from around the trees.  On Arbor Day, volunteers cleaned-up litter and planted various shrubs and flowers in the area surrounding the Clow Corona facility.

Thanks to all team members that volunteered.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes

Kennedy Valve was proud to have 59 team members and their families participate in the 2018 Walk a Mile in my Shoes suicide prevention and awareness event on May 5.

It was a beautiful day for a walk. Over 2,000 people came out to show their support for this critical issue which is more common than you think and more preventable than you know.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s event!

Valve & Hydrant Sales Group Partners with Paralyzed Veterans of America

At the recent valve & hydrant annual sales meeting (Clow, Kennedy, Kennedy PIV and M&H), they held an inspiring teambuilding event. They partnered with Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) to build wheelchairs. Because the group was so large, they were able to build nine wheelchairs that will be donated for use by veterans in the Phoenix, Arizona community.

As a part of the event, each group created a poster expressing their gratitude to the veterans for their service to our country. It was an amazing experience since the team has quite a few veterans of their own. It was the first time they’ve done something like this and they plan to make it a tradition.

Clow Valve Company Donates Historical Brass Sign Holders

If you want to know how and why a community is the way it is today, you have to look at its history. The Oskaloosa, Iowa community made the decision to display historical markers throughout the city to showcase the history of the buildings throughout the entire town. Unfortunately, they only had a $100 budget per marker so they relied heavily on local businesses and residents to contribute to the project.
Clow Valve was pleased to have the opportunity to donate the brass sign holders. The first marker was placed at the Oskaloosa Fire Department which was built in 1909.
