Clow Corona Focuses on Improving the Environment in April

Clow Corona team members in Corona, California turned their focus to the environment in April on Earth Day and Arbor Day.  Team members and their families volunteered for a clean-up at Citrus State Park on Earth Day to remove brush, dropped fruit and trash around the citrus trees in the state park.  At the end of the day the Clow team had cleaned up 35 bags of debris from around the trees.  On Arbor Day, volunteers cleaned-up litter and planted various shrubs and flowers in the area surrounding the Clow Corona facility.

Thanks to all team members that volunteered.

Clow Corona’s Got Talent, Too!

Speaking of the talents at Futurecom team member Milos Rankovic and not to be outdone, Clow Corona production supervisor, Jose Martinez, also created a new company sign.  This sign was made with a stainless-steel plate and back lit with LED lighting.  It is now proudly displayed on the exterior of the facility in Corona, California to welcome customers and guests as they drive through the front gates. Jose is currently working on a smaller display sign for the sales office.

Thanks, Jose, for your time and creativity in making this beautiful sign!

Eric Benson Shares His Knowledge with New Team Member Mike Moore

During a recent trip to Clow Corona, Eric Benson, the Northern California District Sales Manager, met Clow Corona’s new Inside Sales Rep, Mike Moore.  During this face-to-face meeting, Eric offered Mike a product demonstration on the fly which he set up from his truck right outside the office.  This demonstration will help Mike better understand our products, services and our customers.  Inside Sales plays a key role in making our outside sales team successful and this demo and information will insure a better understanding from the beginning.  Kudos to Eric for taking the time to provide this helpful product training.

Welcome to the team, Mike!

Clow Corona Holds Team Appreciation Picnic at Knott’s Berry Farm

There’s no better way to show team members how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication than a team family event.  Clow Corona held their 2017 team appreciation picnic at Knott’s Berry Farm amusement park on November 4.  They met together for a group lunch and then spread out throughout the park with their families to explore the wonderful shows and rides.

Everyone had a great day and we are glad to have the opportunity to show the team how much we appreciate their service.

McWane Ergo Cup winner Clow Valve recently competed at the 19th Annual National Ergo Cup competition  held in Orlando, Florida, on March 21-24, 2016. The Clow Ergo Cup project, Hydrant Brass Torque Table, was one of 47 projects selected out of 88 applicants to compete at the national competition. Just to be selected to participate is an honor!

The Clow Team included representatives from Clow Corona (John Bouman*, Arturo Islas*, Rene Perez, and Alfonso Zamorano) and Clow Valve Oskaloosa (Chad Bollinger*, Kyle Huelsman*, Chris Prendergast*, and Chris Stanley). *Represented the team at the National Ergo-Cup Competition.

Team leader Chris Prendergast said, “The team did a great job and we received so much positive feedback all week. Based on several of the classes and other projects, I would remind everyone that simple low cost solutions are everywhere and we only need to identify a risk and then be creative to find them. We brought back several creative ideas we think we can implement and from my perspective a group of guys who were excited about finding the next improvement. Thanks for the opportunity to represent McWane at this year’s competition.”

The Disney Coronado Springs Hotel was beautiful venue, and they have announced that the 20th Conference will be held there again in March 2017.
