Tyler Union Helps With Relief Effort After Devastating Tornadoes

When the town of Jacksonville, Alabama and surrounding areas were hit by devastating tornadoes on the night of March 19, Tyler Union team members were quick to respond by donating supplies, working with local shelters and helping with debris clean up.  The destruction left in the storm’s wake was unimaginable and cleanup and rebuilding will be ongoing for years.  Tyler Union continues to raise money for the relief fund and work with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce on the needs of the affected areas.

Lori Denton, Director of Business Development for the Calhoun County Economic Development Council said, “Local industry response has been overwhelming. The surplus donations of high demand items, financial contributions, labor, time, and meals, displays what it means to love your neighbor. We are so proud to represent the industries in Calhoun County because of the unwavering strength found in the people of this community. We are so thankful to our industrial partners that have already reached out and are continuing to work alongside the Calhoun County Economic Development Council with the relief efforts.”

Clow Canada Sales Team Volunteers at Romero House

Clow Canada held their annual sales meeting in Saint John, New Brunswick the week of January 22. A regular agenda item for these meetings is a charity event that doubles as a team building experience. This year was no exception.  The sales team volunteered to make sandwiches at the Romero House to put in children’s lunch bags for the following school day. The Romero House is a soup kitchen that was founded in Saint John in 1982 that serves free meals and provides food hampers and housewares to those in need 365 days a year, including Christmas day.

In lieu of a dinner out that evening, the day was topped off by the team presenting the money they would have spent going out to dinner at a restaurant as a donation to the Romero House. Take out food that night never tasted better!

The Clow Canada Sales team had a great time and came away knowing they had made a difference for those in need in the Saint John community.

Manchester Tank Elkhart Continues 10-Year Christmas Tradition

The Manchester Tank Elkhart team continued a 10-year tradition of participating in the annual Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family program. With donations from Manchester/McWane, as well as their management team, they were able to make Christmas a little bit brighter for families in need.

This program is designed to assist families who are in crisis as the result of unemployment, homelessness, medical issues, or other difficult circumstances, and who otherwise would not have the resources to celebrate Christmas.  Families who are adopted are provided with food, clothing, and gifts from sponsors.

Manchester Tank would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
